1. Who we are

GasPrices.cyou ("we", "us") operates the website at gasprices.cyou. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@gasprices.cyou.

2. Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not process payments. The information we handle falls into three categories:

• Usage analytics. Pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address (country, region, and city level), device type, browser, referring site, and interactions such as button clicks.
• Technical logs. Standard web server and CDN logs, including IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and response status, kept by our hosting provider for security and performance.
• Voluntary contact. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.

Calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are not transmitted to us or stored on a server.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party and third-party cookies and local storage for three purposes:

• Analytics. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity help us understand which pages are useful. These tools set identifiers such as _ga, _ga_*, _clck, and _clsk.
• Advertising. If advertising is enabled, third-party advertising vendors may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads.
• Site function. Small preferences such as a dismissed notice, stored locally in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect the calculators or the price pages.

4. Advertising and third-party vendors

This site may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised. We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly permit advertising vendors to collect information from users we know to be under 13.

5. Analytics providers

• Google Analytics 4 — Google privacy policy. Retention is configured in our analytics property.
• Microsoft Clarity — Microsoft privacy statement. Clarity records anonymised interaction data such as clicks and scrolling.
• Cloudflare — our hosting and CDN provider processes technical logs for delivery and security.

6. How we use information

• To measure which pages and tools are useful and improve them.
• To detect abuse, bots, and attacks.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To serve advertising that funds the site, where advertising is enabled.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use analytics data to make automated decisions that affect your rights.

7. Legal bases and your rights

Where privacy laws such as the GDPR or state privacy statutes apply, we rely on legitimate interests for analytics and security, and consent where required for advertising cookies. Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to processing, or to opt out of targeted advertising. California residents: we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You may request disclosure or deletion using the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of each provider. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and maintain a record of corrections.

9. International transfers

Our hosting and analytics providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are covered by the providers' standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site's tools or vendors change. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
